Amazing Elkhart Race 2013 Intro

Church Community Services? first Amazing Elkhart RaceChurch Community Services’ Amazing Elkhart Race is a wildly fun adventure and is coming up on Saturday, May 18th.

The Amazing Elkhart Race creates a unique one-day Amazing Race experience…Teams of four will solve ten or more clues, and complete physical and mental challenges that utilize the city landscape as it’s racecourse…all while discovering the city of Elkhart in a whole different way, showcasing Elkhart landmarks and engaging local businesses. Teams will compete for a $1,000 grand prize and support CCS all at the same time! It’s an amazing race on a local level, where anyone can participate.

Will you help us spread the buzz?   Please “like” and share these pages.  The first 30 teams will be able to compete.

When: Saturday, May 18th, 2013 beginning at 12 PM.

What: 10 or more physical,  mental and fun challenges. The race course is designed around several areas in Elkhart. The course is predetermined, but not designated for the racers. Each clue will tell you the next part of the course.

Where: Starts at the Civic Plaza, downtown Elkhart. Ends at CCS, 907 Oakland Ave.

Who: Teams of 4 adventure-seeking people, 18+ years old, able to walk/run up to 9 miles in the course of the race.

Why: Firstly, it will be a blast!  Secondly, it will benefit Church Community Services‘ local food pantry, Soup of Success women’s job and life skills training program, and emergency financial assistance.

How to participate: To sign up your team, set up your personalized fundraising page using FirstGiving. Then tell all your friends—by Facebook, Twitter, email, etc. – to go there and support you. Offline donations can be counted, too. You’ll learn all about that as you do your page set up. The top 2 fundraising teams by date of race get a start advantage.

Registration Deadline: May 5th, 2013  – There is a $50 registration fee per person.   Only the first 30 teams will be accepted.
