Join our team of volunteers helping their neighbors by sharing their gifts, having fun, and making a difference through the Church Community Services programs. Whether you want to help give food to those in need, grow produce in our greenhouse and gardens, or help support womens’ empowerment - we have an opportunity for you!
If you want to volunteer as an individual or as a group, whether it’s for a limited time, once a month, or once a week, please fill out the corresponding form below to let us know!

Examples of Individual Volunteer Opportunities
Food Pantry
Assist guests with their shopping in the food pantry
Unload food deliveries in the food pantry
Stock shelves in the food pantry
Rescue and sort donations from local merchants for the food pantry
Set up the food pantry for daily food distributions
Volunteers are needed to deliver food to homebound individuals the third Wednesday of each month. Volunteers deliver food in their own car to approximately 6 people.
Host a food drive with your school, organization, church, book club, etc.
Drive our box trucks (26 and 16-foot trucks) and vans for food pick-up. CDL required for 26-foot truck, but not necessary for other vehicles.
Seed to Feed
Help with plants in the greenhouse
Help us care for our CCS gardens (opportunities typically are April-September)
Soup Of Success
Cut and sew textiles for our Soup of Success program
Prepare shower melts (must be comfortable around strong smells)
Provide child care at quarterly Soup Of Success reunion nights
Tutor a Soup of Success participant in her High School Equivalency studies
Help with delivering Soup of Success holiday gift baskets
Man a holiday bazaar and sell Soup Of Success products
Help run our store during the holiday season (sales, stocking, customer assistance, etc.) 1/2 day shifts 9-12:30 or 12:30-4 Mon- Fri
Other
If you have experience with video, photography, social media or marketing Church Community Services can use your help as we work to share our mission and help those in need in Elkhart County.
Be a social media ambassador! Simply share our social media posts among your friends to help us get the word out about the important work that’s going on!
Bilingual English/Spanish speaking volunteers are needed to assist guests in the food pantry or be available by phone to translate for Financial Services staff and guests.
Make phone calls to assist us with updating our contact database.
Examples of Group Volunteer Opportunities
Conduct a food drive
Help us care for our CCS gardens (opportunities typically are April-September)
Hold a garage or rummage sale and donate proceeds to CCS
Hold a Service Day when employees volunteer for CCS
Collect “fees” for dress down Fridays and donate to CCS
Help with production of Soup Of Success products.
