Amazing Volunteer Corner - Barb Fridley
If you happen to be in the Church Community Services office on a Wednesday afternoon, you’ll likely see someone with a bright, friendly smile say hi to you as you’re walking by.
That’s Barb!
Barb Fridley has been volunteering at Church Community Services for over 30 years. She first became aware of CCS through her church.
“My husband and I would go there with our children to volunteer bagging food,” Fridley said. “That’s how I first got connected.”
Barb has worked in several different volunteer roles over the years, but she currently works as a Development Assistant. She is instrumental in the daily operations at Church Community Services because she helps enter donation information into our database. She also helps write thank you notes to our donors!
“I appreciate the support that Church Community Services offers to our community,” Fridley said. “It’s important to have the services that are here for people in need. Also, the Soup of Success program is just huge about empowering local women.”
Barb says one of the things that always brings her back to CCS is the staff.
“The staff is just friendly, warm, inviting and fun to work with,” Fridley said.
